Work on your sleep habits and you may be inadvertantly
working on your weight loss plan as well.
The majority of the population struggles with
sleep at one time or another in their lifetime. Stress and work hours
usually play a major role in sleep deprivation. If you can somehow learn
to win at the 'getting enough sleep' game then you might find that you
have an easier time with weight loss.
For instance, if you can train yourself to go
to sleep 1 hour earlier than you normally do then you could be getting
up an hour earlier. You could then use this time to exercise. If you
could train yourself to go to sleep 2 hours earlier then you could have
an extra hour of sleep an then use the other extra hour to get your
exercise and maybe even take care of a few other things. The extra hour
of sleep may be just enough extra rest to bolster your energy and give
you a better workout.
Training yourself to go to bed earlier should
be a gradual thing. Just try to do it 10 minutes at a time the first
few days and then start going to bed 5 minutes earlier for the next
several days until you have reached your goal of going to bed an hour
earlier. Do that for awhile before you start trying to go to bed any
earlier. After a month of going to sleep an hour early you will then
be ready to start the process over and start going to bed even earlier.
