Metabolism happens in your muscles and organs
and the result of it is what we commonly refer to as "burning calories".
The good news is that there are many ways you can "boost" your metabolism!
One of the first things you should do is always
eat your beakfast. Skipping breakfast sends the message to your body
that you're starving because you haven't had food in 18+ hours. As a
protective mechanism, your metabolism slows down.
Dinner should be eaten as early as possible,
preferably at least four hours before bedtime. In fact, you may actually
be able to eat more than you already do provided that it is early in
the day. Eat a big breakfast, have a snack before lunch, eat a big lunch,
have a snack before dinner and then eat a light dinner (if you've eaten
enough early on it won't be that difficult to have a light dinner)
at the very least 4 hours before your normal bedtime.
Our bodies were designed to be active on a daily
basis so forget about those exercise plans that have you exercising
2 or 3 times a week. Get out and do something every day even if it is
just walking.
Drink 60+ ounces of water a day. Your metabolism
needs plenty water to function properly. Carry a bottle of water with
you and drink frequently throughout the day.
Try to do all of these things as much as you
can in time you will increase your metabolism and be on your way to
losing weight.
